Commodore's Appreciation Race
July 17, 2005

Following NOSA's Annual Breakfast and General Meeting the annual Commodores Appreciation Race was held. Commodores from all Yacht Clubs were invited to participate. Commodores from Redondo Beach YC, Balboa YC, Balboa Island YC, Santa Monica Windjammers YC, South Shore YC, Women's Ocean Racing Assoc. (WORSA) and NOSA entered the race. Harbor 20's were donated by local club members for the races. After two elimination races and a final, the results were:


1st Place Redondo Beach YC, Cmdr. Kyle Wilfong
2nd Place Balboa Yacht Club, Staff Cmdr. Jeff Allen
3rd Place Balboa Island YC, Cmdr. Quincy Bock
4th Place Santa Monica Windjammers YC, Cmdr.Peter Glick
5th Place South Shore YC, Cmdr. Don Albrecht

The Redondo Beach Yacht Club will have the honor of displaying the beautiful Appreciation Series Perpetual Trophy until next years race. All winners were all awarded Trophy Mugs for their position. Good fun was had by all.
